The goal for each student from grades 7 through 10 is to achieve conversational fluency in English by the end of the school year.
Method: A curriculum focusing on speaking and critical thinking through various biographical and historical examples. The class period will begin with the class sitting in a circle in an exercise of group conversation. The class will then go to their seats and instruction will cover new topics that they do not currently cover at their regular grade level in the German school system. After reading new material, we will discuss vocabulary and content. Afterwards students will put together a group presentation in English on what was covered in the reading assignment, which will be done orally together.
